About Me

I am a PhD candidate in the Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics at UCR.

My pronouns are they/them/theirs.

I earned my MS in Biology from California State University Long Beach in 2019. As a member of The Bioinformatics Lab at CSULB, I used shotgun metagenomic sequencing and bioinformatic tools to examine the gut microbial community from cartilaginous fishes.

I am currently a member of Dr. Emma Aronson's Environmental Microbiome Lab at UCR, focusing on the characterization of aeolian (i.e. wind-driven) microbiomes.

As a genderfluid scientist, I deeply value representation and equity in STEM. For some more personal information about me and other queer & genderqueer scientists, please feel free to see my profile & others on 500 Queer Scientists.
